Charitable Causes
Troy Restaurant Week starts today and runs through Aug. 27, with 16 fine dining restaurants participating in a Troy Chamber of Commerce program called “Hammer Home the Savings.” Troy Restaurant Week patrons will be encouraged to make a donation of $5 or more to support Habitat for Humanity of Oakland County. In exchange, diners will receive a hammer-shaped lapel pin. Everyone who purchases hammer pins will be able to take advantage of the “Hammer Home the Savings” discounts by showing their pins at participating Troy Chamber member businesses from Aug. 28 to Sept. 3.
